Rudolf Ernst (1854 - 1932) was an Austro-French painter and printmaker. He exhibited his works in Paris under the name "Rodolphe Ernst".
Ernst studied in Vienna at the "Akademie der Bildenden Künste", academy of Fine Arts.
He travelled in Morocco and Constantinopel between 1885 - 1890
Rudolph Ernst's extensive travels throughout Morocco, Egypt, and Istanbul inpired him for his oriental paintings. The one showed here is pretty rare.
