"The Rose of Stamboul" or "Die Rose von Stambul" is a 1953 West German musical film directed by Karl Anton and starring Inge Egger, Albert Lieven and Grethe Weiser. It is based on Leo Fall's 1916 operetta.

The "bellydance" in this movie was performed by Laya Raki, born as Brunhilde Marie Alma Herta Jörns(1927 – 2018). In the movie Austrian actor Paul Hörbiger wants to marry her after seeing her dance.

Laya was a dancer and film actress popular in Germany in the 1950s and early 1960s. She also became an international star for her roles in English films and TV productions.
