Under the direction of Lamont, Red-haired Maureen O'Hara appears as the daughter of a Sheikh who returns from being educated in London.

O'Hara discovers her father is dead and his palace looted. Handsome Paul Christian is suspected of the murder, as is lecherous pasha Vincent Price, but the real villain is one of the Sheikh's most trusted aides.

Maureen O'Hara was with her exceptional good looks one of the most popular actresses of the late 1940s and early 1950s. <img src="http://www.belly-dance.org/movies/maureen_o-hara.jpg" width="211" height="266" alt="Maureen O'Hara" border="0" align="right"> Born in Ranelagh,

Ireland, near Dublin as Maureen FitzSimons, the sexy actress made her first important screen appearance in Jamaica Inn (1939), directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

Maureen played with some of Hollywood's leading stars like Tyrone Power, John Payne, Rex Harrison, Jimmy Stewart, Henry Fonda, Brian Keith, Sir Alec Guinnes and John Wayne.

She played in so many desert films that her family used to tease her and call her "Maureen Sahara." Sahara scenes were mostly taken in the desert of Baja California.
